Peter has thirty plus years experience in audio and communications for the live entertainment industry. Over the years this has included system design and operation, through to production and technical management.
Interlaced through this has been a twenty five year management position at Jands, originally as an applications engineer to his current role managing the IT and Supply Chain departments.
Peter has been involved with the management of spectrum for wireless microphones since ‘VHF days’ through roles at the Sydney and Athens Olympic Games, Melbourne Commonwealth Games, and numerous TV special events, sporting and awards shows.
During the Melbourne 2006 Commonwealth Games he demonstrated his ability to acquire and coordinate large volumes of disparate data and requests from various organisations and then manage the distribution of agreed frequency plans to the various stakeholders.
He is at ease communicating with clients, suppliers, government regulators, engineers, other managers and staff. He understands protocol, and has been called upon to ‘dress’ microphone and in ear monitors to Royalty, Heads of State and of Government, and members of the IOC Family.
Peter has taken on under-performing departments, in each case an understanding of the working of the department, existing resources and goals was required before changes were successfully implemented.
Peter is sensitive to cultural differences, and attempts to find resolutions to challenges rather than conflict.
Peter’s talent is seeing the big picture, the goal and the deadline, whilst maintaining control of the details.
Peter holds a Master of Business and Technology from The Australian School of Business.
